US Ready to Send 200 More Soldiers to Syria



INTERNATIONAL - The Pentagon on Saturday (12/10/2016) states, the United States will hold as many as 200 additional troops to the Syrian army in military action against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

According to a Pentagon statement, the additional US troops will include special operations forces personnel, trainers, advisers and explosive ordinance disposal team, reported Xinhua.

US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, issued the announcement during a speech in the Gulf state, Bahrain, the statement said.

Operation with unique skills will be joined by 300 US special operations troops are already in Syria.


Operat was "to continue to organize, train, equip and ... enable local forces who are motivated and able to fight ISIL," the statement said, citing the words of Carter.

It refers to other abbreviations such militant groups, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

INTERNATIONAL - When Syrian forces exert full power to seize Aleppo east of the opposition, the militants ISIS returned to Palmyra, the historic city in Syria.

Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Organization (SOHR), on Saturday (12/10/2016), reported Syrian forces had achieved significant progress in eastern Aleppo controlled by opposition forces.
