HEALTH - The death toll from twin bomb blasts in Istanbul, Turkey, has grown to 29 people with the casualties were police.
Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, Sunday (11/12/2016), said that there were 166 more people were injured. He also said 10 suspects linked to the attack had been arrested.
Turkish Health Ministry earlier said the bomb attack occurred outside class football stadium after the match two top clubs, namely Besiktas and Bursaspo.
According to Reuters, the first of two explosions, one of which is believed to be suicide, and occur outside the Vodafone Arena stadium, which is located on the banks of the Bosphorus.
Soylu said, a car bomb outside the stadium it was targeting a police bus. Of the 29 deaths that have diidentifikas, mostly police.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the explosion occurred shortly after the game was over it seemed to cause death in large numbers.
"We have witnessed, once again here in Istanbul, the ugly face of terrorism, trampling all shapes and moral values," Erdogan said in a statement released by Agence France-Presse.
Turkish state media said Erdogan was in his residence in Tarabya city, in the outskirts of Istanbul, when the twin bomb blasts.
Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said, "I strongly condemn the killers," he said, as quoted by broadcaster CNN Turk.
