INTERNASIONAL - Metta Franco, mayor of Cerignola, Puglia, southern Italy, otters abysmal due to a tin of Christmas biscuits.

Metta added, businessman unnamed CCTV camera recorded the time of entry into the mayor's office while carrying a parcel covered with Christmas-themed wrapping paper.
Metta then handing bribes to the police who immediately conduct an investigation.
To the media who interviewed him, Metta insisted he did not intend to keep the bribe.
"Not the slightest wish. The behavior of the arrogant who think all that money can buy really bother me," said Metta.
"I do not do anything extraordinary. I do what my father taught me. I'm not a hero," said Metta.
Bribery and corruption is very common in contracts of various projects in Italy, especially in waste management.
Bribes to Metta is believed to be related to the tender land waste disposal in the area of Cerignola.
