INTERNATIONAL - When Syrian forces exert full power to seize Aleppo east of the opposition, the militants ISIS returned to Palmyra, the historic city in Syria.
Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Organization (SOHR), on Saturday (12/10/2016), reported Syrian forces had achieved significant progress in eastern Aleppo controlled by opposition forces.
Some important district in the east side of the city of Aleppo, the capital of the province of Aleppo that once the second largest city after Damascus, was retaken by the military of President Bashar al-Assad.
However, on the other hand, forces the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), it kept surging forward to Palmyra to take it from the Syrian army.
The activists lapanghan SOHR said about 50 soldiers allied with Damascus have been killed in fighting in Palmyra, in the province of Homs, central Syria.
ISIS continued to rush into the ancient city of Palmyra, since Saturday noon, after two days of heavy fighting with Assad regime forces.

Several people who witnessed the fighting on Saturday said the rebels did not want to retreat from the eastern sector of the ruined it.
SOHR reported that 24 civilians were killed by government forces since Friday, and said at least nine others were killed due to artillery fire fighters into sectors controlled by the government in the city in the same period.
