NASIONAL - Minister of Education and Culture (Education) Muhadjir Effendy will suspend the National Examination (UN) in 2017.
"Already completed his studies and we plan (UN) moratorium.
It has been submitted to the President and awaiting approval from the President," said Muhadjir when met at the office Kemendikbud, Jakarta, as quoted by Antara on Friday (11/25/2016).
He said the reason is because the UN moratorium on the current UN function for mapping and determining the graduation of students.
Kemendikbud want to restore the evaluation of student learning all the rights and authority of teachers, both individually and collectively.
"The state is quite oversee and regulate it so that national standards are actually implemented in each school," said Muhadjir.
The moratorium plan also adjust to the transition of the school management authority belongs to the local government.
"So later for the national evaluation of the SMA / SMK submitted to their respective provinces, to elementary and junior high handed over to the district or city," said Muhadjir.
Muhadjir also said the mapping based on the results of the UN has shown that 30 percent of schools are already above the national standard, while the rest do not meet those standards.
"If you already know the (mapping) through the UN turns out about 30 percent of it is good, then we have to reform-reform first," he said.
Kemendikbud will fix about 70 percent of the schools that exceeded the national standard, is expandable in stages, starting with the most substandard.
These aspects are enhanced in the revamping of the quality of teachers, among other things, guidance and learning process, revitalizing schools, and the environment.
Muhadjir said revamping school fees are still below those standards to use the budget should be used for the implementation of the national exam.
"Parents do not have to stress (of the UN). I still propose to the President, because first of all they should be a Presidential Instruction to the UN," said Muhadjir.
