INTERNASIONAL - Eight Indonesian citizen sentenced to 15-18 years in prison during the trial in the Court of Malaysia.
They were found guilty of hijacking an oil tanker last year.
Tanker MT Orkim Harmony carrying about 6,000 tons of oil worth 5.6 million US dollars, was hijacked by eight person on June 11 last year.
The vessel was on its way from the west coast of Malaysia to Kuantan Port on the east coast.
Six pirates got sentenced to 15 years in prison with five lashes. Then the other two convicted 18 years jail.
